Description

The Shelf List by Shelving Location and Call Number returns a simple list of all non-deleted records that are coded with the selected Shelving Location(s) and within the supplied call number range. The output includes: Shelving Location name, Call Number, Barcode, Title, Author, Publication Year, item Creation Date/Time, current item Status, Circulation Modifier, monthly Statistical Category Value, and Evergreen circulation data – Branch: Lifetime Circulation, Branch: YTD Circulation, Consortium: Lifetime, Consortium: YTD, and Consortium: Last Circulatio9n Date.

Records are included if they have no Evergreen circulation or are missing a circulation modifier or statistical category.

A similar report is the Shelf List by Shelving Location, which returns all items in the collection.

Usage

This report can be used to identify candidates for weeding, to calculate collection age, identify call number formatting errors, identify missing circulation modifiers, identify items with problem statuses, calculate circulation rates.

Report definition filter values notes

  • The call number range is inclusive – if the first value entered is “600” and the last value entered is “619”, the first record returned will start with “600” and the last will start with “619”
  • The call number range allows text characters, but text characters are case sensitive – if “Fic A” is entered, call numbers starting with “FIC A” will not be returned
