“I need new kitting patterns! Can you help me find some?”

We have lots of resources – print, video, audio, digital – to choose from, and we want to find the right ones for each patron. There’s a new pathfinder for WLS eResources that’s organized by subject that will help you sort through the digital options. There are popular topics, including

  • Health and Wellness
  • Careers and Employmenthoopla Knitting Search Results
  • DIY and Lifelong Learning
  • Music and Movies
  • Adult Learners
  • Travel

Updated semi-annually, each topic includes multiple eResources that support the topic. For someone studying a Spanish, yes, there’s Mango Languages, but there are also OverDrive and Total BooX for language learning materials, PressReader and Hoopla for reading practice, and Freegal for Spanish-language music.  Bookmark the electronic version for easy access to the links or print the pathfinders to increase eResource visibility. The pathfinders are formatted for staff, but they can be adapted for use with patrons. Pick a topic, copy the text, add eye-catching graphics, and you’ll have a bookmark, flyer or shelf sitter that’s ready to go.
