Circ. Meeting Minutes 1/11/18

Melanie’s Report –

All Island Courier’s delivery contract has been renewed for three years with an option for a two year extension.

Angela’s Report –

PLDA discussed ILLs. Patrons are free to use any library in Westchester County for their ILLs. They must return the book to the library they borrowed it from. It was decided that lost items would be billed to the patron’s library.

A lively discussion followed regarding going fine free. Some topics were revenue loss and the incentive to return items. The PLDA will discuss at their next meeting.

2018 Workflows wish list

Let Allison know your 2018 Top Three Report Requests
• How many… users, bills, circ, etc?
• Which users…?
• Which items…?

There is currently no limit to how long Charge History is kept for a patron.

If a patron’s record is showing “Response Truncated”, change the “Max response size” to 3,000,000 under “Preferences”, “Desktop”, “Desktop Setup”.

The Circ staff still wishes that patrons would not be notified that a hold is available until it is checked in from the Clean Holds Report.

Holds, filled or expired, stay on a patron’s record for one month.

Please sign (name, date and library) any notes sent to other libraries.

January 4th storm – all libraries were closed except SHR and WHI.

The next meeting will be on March 8.
