Melanie:

Melanie has a copy of “Nature Sounds of Yellowstone” Free for the taking (You can borrow it from YWI).

*Updates* West Harrison is Closed for renovation Until October. Please do NOT select HWE for pickup when
placing holds even is patron insists!

*3 New I-Types:

Bluray A3D Adult 3D Blue ray Disc
Bluray J3D Juvenile 3D Blue Ray Disc
JxpresAV7 Juvenile Express A/V

*Please let Melanie know when you are adding new formats to your collection for the first time, so that you can
be added to the Circ. Map. (if you are not on the circ. map you cannot use that particular I-Type).
This usually takes 24 hours.

*On Line Bill Pay- We did a soft launch with very little advertising. It appears to be working well with around
1200 transactions, involving 36 libraries. There is a $2.50 processing fee for each transaction. Checks to each
library will go out quarterly with the first one slated for October.
Also the Online Bill Pay does not give Change!

*We had a mini upgrade in June with some new features:
*Sub-total by reason now works, so that you can get the totals of different categories ie: lost, overdue,
damaged, etc.
*Wizard names and tool bar text can be enlarged, Go to Desktop/Preferences.

*Melanie had sent out a question to all libraries: Currently RENEW now renews from the date patron or staff
actually renews item, the new feature would allow the renewal to be added from the due date, is anyone interested in adding this feature? (It is all or no one !) Unanimous consent to leave it the way it is!

*Please email Melanie if you have any problems be as specific as possible.

*Please be careful of language used on notes. Also remember to leave date/library initials/ your initials so that
clarification can be easily attained.
Remove only your notes.
DO NOT Read note to patrons!

*Coincidentally there are 3 workshops upcoming about working with difficult patrons:
All from 9am–Noon.
Registration required!
 Thursday Oct. 20, 2016 United Way (White Plains)

Allison:

*Use of multiple Work Flow Shortcuts on your desktop will significantly slow upgrades on your computer.

*When using E-mail receipts you can add a prompt for patrons that have no email address so that the email       address is added temporarily or you go into Modify User and make the change permanent. Find out what it looks    like on the wiki http://it.westchesterlibraries.org/to-send-an-email-receipt-you-need-an-email-address/

*There are several ways that you can turn off the printer when E-mailing receipts to avoid getting duplicates.
Instructional videos available on YouTube, they will be placed on the wiki.
