Library 2.107 Mini-Conference: Makerspaces
Today I attended an online pre-conference session for the 2.017 Mini-conference about Makerspaces. The Fayetteville Free Library staff led a virtual tour of their Fab Lab, provided information about how they got started and grew their makerspaces, and shared budgeting, staffing, and brass tacks details about how they involve – no, partner with – their community. If you have questions about setting up a makerspace or building making into your programming, there is still time to sign up for this free online event tomorrow afternoon. I look forward to seeing you there!
Thanks for sharing this – I just signed up hoping to catch a few recordings to get our Creative Space going.
I hope you’ll post any ideas that you find particularly helpful. There are so many ideas and options. Asking your community for input and choosing in response to its needs is a great place to start.
